just curious on the hot cam or the hrc kit for my 05 450r. which one is better.

 

The HRC kit comes with alot more than just a cam. It has jets, breathers, air box lid, cam, and a few other things. I have the HRC kit in mine and I LOVE IT! Just my $.02

 

Yeah I agree, with the previous poster that the HRC kit is really good. It does come with the mods to let more air into the carb. That in itself is a good mod. The breather restrictions on the 05 450R are terrible. The HRC kit really lwts the bike breathe and it is a good starting point. The Hot Cams provide a little different power curve, but a good idea would be to get the HRC kit and if the cam isn't to your liking then try the Hot Cam Stage 2. This way you will have your air intake modified and air box modded too. This will be a benefit with the use of a hotcam also.
