How are you likeing your kfx?

 

i think reverse is a must in trail riding unless you want to keep getting off to push it.

 

The '05 400EX has reverse. 2004 and earlier did not. I love my 05!

Life without reverse is fine. Never had it on the 250R...yeah I wanted it when
I was stuck, but wasn't all that often. Just think of not having reverse as a potential
workout in the field.

I love it........ it's the perfect machine for me....... fast enough, handles great, and so far has been reliable as heck.......

And changing to the aluminum clutch cover aside, I've had it for 15 months now and it is still all original with zero mods.... not even a spark plug change.......

Of course I only run super gas and I change my oil/filter whenever the oil is not clear enough to see through anymore, and of course air filter cleaning............... even the valves are still in perfect time.....

 

Once you get used to no reverse I dont think its any big deal. I ride with a 04 Predator so he doesnt have reverse and I never notice him have any issues because he is used to it. Another buddy just went from a 400ex with reverse to a YFZ 450 and you can tell he forgets sometimes but he is getting used to not having it.

 

Is it just me or do you seem to get stuck a lot easier going backward than forward. Seems like half the time, when in a bind, I had to get off and push anyway.

 

That may depend on what type of tires you have.

Doesn't matter to me. I can screw things up in either direction.

 

Ya most the time when I really need reverse it just spins the tires and have to get off anyway lol
