Default question about paddle tires

I run 6-paddle Skat-Trak Edges on the 400EX. The Z400 pulls 8 easily, and I think the 450R could pull 10 no problem.

Default question about paddle tires

I run 10 paddle haulers on my 450. 8 paddles or even 10 would be fine for the 400ex.

The lower profile the better. The bigger and more "balloon" like the tire is, the more it takes to turn a revolution. You will notice a difference in power and speed if you go with bigger tires. If you do decide to go with a bigger rim and tire, I would suggest dropping a tooth or 2 on your front sprocket. You will gain some low end and get off the line better and have an easier time hill climbing but you will lose some top speed.

I would reccomend dropping a tooth or 2 in the front even without paddles. I think the manufacture's gear it high on purpose so people dont wheelie so much and hurt themselves. The 4-5mph top end sacrafice is well worth the low end gain. Especially on the shee.

Most of these are good sugestions, but you need to specify which terrain you want them for the most, because all these things affect how it will perform on different surfaces. So, what terrain do you want them for?
