Default "Dial-A-Jet"?

Has anyone used or know anyone who has used the Dial-A-Jet system? (particularly on the '03 400ex)

I've heard good things about it, the theroy is to use vacum to increase fuel supply. I'm not sure haow good it will work, but my friend with a 02 or 03 400ex is getting one soon, so I'll let you now how it does

Yeah let me know how it turns out. It just seems a bit cheap($75.00) for what all they say it does.

I was looking at the system at one time several years ago and I remember reading that they advertise significant performance gains, right? Well, I don't see how this could be if you don't add intake/exhaust modifications and use this as a means of rejetting, just like regular jet kits for carburetors.

Yeah I wonder about this too, but they claim that it attomizes the fuel better, which makes it burn better, for better throttle response. It also is supposed to run better at steeper angles. Reviews say it's the second best thing next to fuel injection. But, I still have my doubts. Like I said I'll let you all know when my friend gets it.

I put one on my 2001 Rubicon in all honesty right after I installed it the bike seemed to accelerate better and run a little smoother. I've had it on there almost a year so its one of those things that I'm probably so use to now that I don't really think about. Just in case you don't know basically you just jet for the highest elevation you will be riding at and set the Dial-a-jet at its lowest setting (least amount of fuel) and when you come back down to your "normal" elevation you turn it to add more fuel to make up for the smaller jet.

My neighbor and his sis in law both were having jetting problems above 4000ft with their Z-400's. Both got a Dial-a-jet and it fixed the hi altitude problems.
