HRC kit installed now its...

Well I installed the jet kit and pipe parts of the kit yesterday and took it for a ride real quick and it ran good. I could tell a difference with just that part of the kit. I took it to the dealer to install the cam today and I got it home, ran it down the street once, and its cutting out now. Anybody else have that happen after installing a HRC kit?

Can anyone tell me if you are suppose to run without the air box lid on? The manual says to take the lid off along with all of the retainers,I just noticed that. I don't know why else you would take the retainers off unless it(lid) was suppose to stay off, that maybe my problem. Any confirmations on this?

didn't the hrc kit come with a new lid that you are supposed to run?? i am not sure but whenever i took the lid off mine it leaned it out to much. it would fall on its face at about 75% throttle

If you just added a the cam and other modifications then you will definately need to re-jet. You can run without an airbox lid and it won't hurt anything but I would really recommend using an outerwear pre-filter if you do that. I run my R with my lid but I've modified it. When I drilled the holes in my lid I needed to re-jet because when I romped on the throttle it would sputter and choke.
