hello, I an trying to replace a bent rear axle on my 1997 honda trx300ex. i cant seem to be able to do it. can someone walk me through the removal after the brake assembly removal?

 

I have the wheels, hubs and brake assembly off but the two nuts on the right half of the axle are kinda confusing me. Yes i do know they are left handed threads but the one thicker nut is really the confusing part. I'm not sure if its supposed to spin all the way off or not cuz mine wont budge after a certain number of threads. Which way is the axle supposed to slide out if you are looking at it from the back? What kind of axle do you recommend me buying for a replacement? prefferably cheaper than $350 cuz thats my budget and i also have to get handle bars and maybe a new front wheel. Thanks for any advice.
