I have a 92 Honda 250x that i got 6 months ago
and when i went to start it the other day it started
up fine but it was alot louder then normal and i started
going and like 5 min later when i was going back the trailtrack
i relized it wasnt going very fast....it started going fast then it
would slow down like i let off the throttle but i never let of of it.

What do you mean the motor was like losing its power? Or it just wasn't moving like normal?

 

it wasnt moving like normal....it would speed up then slow down.....like it wasnt fireing right

Sounds like your pipe fell off. you might have lost power because there wasn't enough back pressure some times it'll do that

 

Clean your carbs, air filter, reeds, gas tank, put fresh gas in and try again. Always start with the basics, i learned the hard way the past couple days.

 

i just bought my 87 250x and i had the same problem, ripping up the road and she died out, it did it 3 times and spit the old black smoke out, then i realized the choke was coming on by itself, the screw in the choke was loose. i fixed it and now it runs like a top.
