I am getting a pipe for my 400ex realativley soon, and I have it narrowed down to these two. I will get the full systems, and plan to get a cam and maybe porting later on. What do you think I should get?

Well, depends on the Yoshi pipe, if its the full YRD race exhaust... the Yoshi is better of course.

I'd definately get the DMC pipe. I have one on my 400EX and it rocks. If you modify your motor, your DMC pipe will really love you. I wouldn't reccomend it to you if it didn't work good.

When GT Thunder did their shootout in the different pipes for the 400EX, they said that the yoshi system didn't flow well on a built engine, but they did say that the DMC pipe had no restrictions to the engine and flowed really well. Like I have said in the past if you build your engine at all get the DMC, I wish I would have known that before I bought my worthless Big Gun.

The Big Gun just didn't do anything for the 400? I have a Pro Circuit slip on and last week i didn't notice and difference but i have to mess with my carb a little and go with a bigger main. Your not the first person i have heard complain about the Big Gun! And they tested a Big Gun a while back in Dirt Wheels and claimed a 7 hp increase, do you think they were pulling our legs?

What I think happened is: On a stock 400EX they might have gotten 7 horsepower because dynos differ, but most likely they got 3-4 horses. I liked the pipe when my motor was stock, but now with mods I hate it, I can almost feel the restricted flow that it gives me. I can't wait until my DMC is here!
