400ex performance help

Default 400ex performance help

does ne body know if and how much power would be gained from removing the snorkels and drilling holes in the airbox lid? also would i have to rejet? let me know if you have found ne cheap/easy mods for performance

Those mods are going to improve any machine. You will also want to uncork the the exhaust, if possible.

Some cheap UNI 1" round airbox vents should work well installed in the lid.

Anytime you open up the airbox and modify the exhaust you will need to rejet.

I got a filter, yanked the snorkle off and drills 4- 1/2 inch holes in my airbox and it brought the jetting to where its supposed to be. They always jet rich from the factory.
