Default Interchangability of 400EX and 450R

I'm currently riding a 400EX. the motor is pretty much stock except for a slip on but the chassis is dialed in almost perfectly for my liking.

I didn't know what I wanted for sure when I bought it and after having it I think I know what I want now, a 450R.

I'm ready for more power, thought maybe I was getting too old to be riding the high performance quads but not yet.

I did a search and didn't find all the answers I'm looking for, will you guys help me?

1. I'm almost 100% positive I can swap my Works front shocks to the 450R, right?

2. How about my rear shock, I have a TCS?

3. I have Tag T2 handlebars one and one eighth inch, will the mount match up with the 450Rs steering stem?

4. I have +2 arms, I do believe they're different, correct?

5. Lastly, I noticed a guy asked about a LSR axle and someone replied it won't swap.

If I can swap the shocks and the handlebars, my dealer has a 2005 model he's had for a while that's marked awfully cheap. I'm tempted to make an offer. I know they updated it in 06 but that is not that important to me to pay more. I don't race, mostly just aggressive trail riding on sandy trails.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I'm an infrequent member and usually keep kinda quiet but value most of the knowledge on this fine site

The shock will swap, but you really won't need too. They are probably set up for the plus 2 arms, and would be too stif on the Stock 450 arms.

The axle is different. I haven't compared the rear shocks. The bar clamps should bolt into either steering stem.

I like the 04 05 450r's better than the 06's anyway. The 06's sound they they are about to throw a rod, and some of them have.

I plan on going with the +2 arms on the 450 as well, maybe not immediately but soon.

I just have enough tied up in the 400EX that it's worth more to me than someone else and I may just keep it. I'm undecided about that. I don't have to sell it anyway.

If I can make my current shocks work on the 450 and my handlebars as well, I'd be very happy.
