Default Need Advice Fast on 450R

Last Thursday I had both of my Raptors stolen out of my garage in the middle of the day. I had an '03 660 that was QUICK with a high comp piston, pro circuit exhaust and intake. I also had a stock Raptor 700. Anyways, I'm looking for another quad and found a TRX 450R that appears to have all the bells and wistles. I don't know much about the Hondas but want to know if it would be better than the 660 I had. I don't want anything much slower. Please give me any advice you can. Here's the specs:

2005 TRX 450R with the following upgrades?

VCP HammerHead 12:25:1 Piston Stock Bore ($245)
Venom-KBR PORT/POLISH ($350)
Ron Woods Intake System ($170)
40MM FCR Carb /w TPS ($380.00) Plus ($200) for the Bore
Kibble White Valve Springs ($160)
Kibble White Titanium Valves ($32 Each)
HRC Powerup Kit /w HRC Cam ($275)
K&N Filter ( Included With Ron Woods Intake System)
Dynatek FS CDI ($299)
ProDesign Radiator ($400)
C4 Red Radiator Hoses ($86)
Titanium HPC Coated Yoshimura TRS Pipe ($799 for pipe, $207 for HPC Coating)
Houser +2 Swing Arms ($550)
Houser +2 Stearing Stem ($299)
Houser +2 A-ARMS ($625)
G-Force 2+ or 4+ Axle ($299)
Elka Shocks Front / Back ($2,500) - Huge improvement over stock shocks
Elka Pro Linkage ($399)
DG Heal Guard Nerfbars ($170)
Full ESR Billet Alum Bling Package ($379)
IMS Bumper ( Mudd Flap Girl) ($150)
Holeshot XCR Front/Back on Douglas Rims ($300)
Skat Track Haulers Rear and Buffs Front On Blue Label Rims ($375)

The 450r you have listed here will be lighter, faster better handling than either one of the raptors. it will be 5 times the quad. they also sit a hell of a lot lower than the raptors.i think its a no brainer to purchase that quad.

I have a ds650 and am going to be getting a new 450r today the new black one with a red frame it looks pretty sick...anyways sorry to hear about the loss of both of your quads those people are real scum for doing such a thing and I would def get a 450r the only thing different would be that it doesn't have reverse and may be kick start...the 450's are all fast and I really liked the ergonomics on the honda the best I don't think you will be dissapionted.

if i do go with this 450 i'm going to miss the electric start and the reverse that the raptors have but oh well. Anyone else have any advice or anything for me? i just don't want to buy something to sell it in a couple weeks.

another question. would this quad be a good race mx quad? i've never raced but live only a couple miles from some tracks and would love to get into it. would this be a good bike for that as well as the dunes?

You gotta remember that Honda built these bikes for MX. They were designed with MX in mind. Some will argue that the TRX450 and YFZ450 are possibly the best MX bikes around. I don't think you will be dissapointed in purchasing the 450, it will definately go faster and handle better than your rappy's, but if you are one of those people that think reverse and electric start are a must have, you probably will find yourself wishing you had a different bike.

No way an engine that someone has been into that much is going to be reliable in the long term!
