do a search for PERFEX in TITLE or POST so I don't have to rant about its shortcomings again. be sure to read the post about Mudblaster popping one of his front axles with the kit installed.
it's junk made by a backyard mechanic. Don't you think Honda would add $80 worth of poorly bent brackets (or relocate the shock points) if that's all it took to make their ATVs ride nice?
don't try what I did and install this Rube Goldberg set-up, buy a good set of shocks

Sorry I didn't answer before, but better later than never. Propnut, I think you're frustrated because you can't install the kit properly. You talk against Perfex in a lot of topics. Since the beginning of this kit, I sold around 4000 kits. I would say 99% are very happy with the results. Here are some reviews from this forum:
"They say it is a quality kit that installs easily and really makes a big difference in the ride quality" (Wlovydude)
"I have an 03 Foreman 450 with the perfex kit and it really improved my ride. The bike handles better and rides softer. As others have said, it is the best upgrade I have done, well worth the money." (Jaxson)
"Also put on a perfex Long Travel Suspension kit. Its like having a new bike. They ALL love it for their Hondas. It has helped my Vinson also. Worth the money IMO!!!!" (BillyMack)
"I must disagree w/ propnut. I put my perfex kit on about a month ago ( Vinson ) and love it! The more I ride w/ it the more I like it. (BillyMack)
"Have you looked at those perfex suspension kits for about $80? Everyone that has one raves about the smoother ride. It's worth every penny of the $80 they wanted for it. It gives you about 1 1/2" of lift and smooths the ride out a lot." (Prong)
"I must say it's worth every penny. I rode through many miles worth of hilly/bumpy pastures and fields and the perfex soaked it all up. The fatigue and soreness was greatly reduced. For anybody wanting an improvement in ride quality for their honda, I would not hesitate in recommending this product" (Prong)
"I will say that when I added the perfex handling kit, the ride got a lot better on my Foreman." (ForemanDan)
"Well, I installed my perfex handling kit (not the long travel kit) myself. Had no trouble on install. No trouble with mushy shocks. No trouble with rear brake. I have had it for over a year and ridden all kinds of conditions and I would buy another in a minute." (Foreman Dan)
"I put a perfex long travel kit on my Rancher. The ride is 100% better than stock" (Harw)
"I have never heard of anyone having axle troubles with the perfex kit." (Kodiak660)
"I installed a perfex kit like LittleBill mentioned and it made a world of difference." (BigReub)
"You are the first person I have read who does not like it.' (speaking of Propnut, from Yoda)
"If you buy the Rubi, install a perfex long travel kit for a vastly improved ride" (Zugbert)
"rode like a brick until I got a perfex suspension kit, best money I've ever spent on a quad. If you guy's think the warn424 is a great upgrade add a perfex suspension kit and you'll be in heaven " (Shortcut)
Propnut, you may have had a bad experience with my product however, I strongly feel that the insults are uncalled for (as shown above) and should stop immediately.

I'm not sorry Mr H?bert. There have been people with axle problems. You state "And you
never heard about a broken joint on a quad with no lift kit?" Yes, when people have big tires, hit something, or rip a boot and don't change it in time. Your kit is for people looking for a quick and cheap fix. Anyone that thinks they can bolt a $80 set of poorly bent (yes, poorly bent) brackets and the Honda will ride smoother and better (as you advertise, mushy is more like it) is getting exactly what they pay for. I do not appreciate mushy shocks or excessive body roll, maybe some do. It's the cheap way out and you are more likely to incur axle damage (If you do stuff other than putt down trails). That's the way it should be advertised, people should hear both sides. If it was 4 $250 shocks and it rode like that I'd be disappointed in the product, it's not - so I'm just disappointed in me foolishly wasting $80.
I should have done more research before buying, but I told you when you wouldn't take the kit back or answer my questions I would take every opportunity to tell people my opinion. The #1 gripe I have with my ATV is the ride, if this kit worked well (and didn't increase the likelyhood of damage to my axles) I would still have it installed.
I see your posts are either speculation from people that don't own the kit or people that didn't have it for a long time. 4000 kits, how many complements? I know I'm not the only one that had a negative opinion of the wonder kit.
Did you do the brackets for the new CTE? That is how they got the new ones to ride better, right?

I went with the Rincon for more power and the IRS. The Perfex kit does improve the ride but it doesn't do magic. My Foreman rode like a old horse drawn wagon. And it did have aftermarket shocks on it also. The Perfex helped. The quality wasn't bad either, everything lined up and it did what it said. I can't help that you had problems with it, but I didn't.

I had the kit on for about two weeks and took it off. IMO it made my Ruby feel like the shocks were worn out. Like and old jaloppy car that feels like its floating all over the road when its shocks are worn out. Also when I put the snow plow on it bottomed out the front end. After you first install it you do notice a difference in ride but after a few miles, especially if the quad is used for any work, the negative factors become for more prominent.

i dont have one personally but i would not think that it would work well. im with propnut, if 80$ worth of parts could make the suspension that much better i thinm that the honda engineers would have figured it out! if you want a smoother ride by the rincon, i heard it was like riding in a caddy!!lol!

perflex kit was installed on an 05 rancher and put about 2700 miles on it, still worked flawless since the day he put it on, i know this as 3-4 identical ranchers ride together and we always ride each other bikes throughout the day. the change is noticeable, takes a good amount of shock on bumps out. i like it and works nice. its now on a 04 400 at and the guy loves it
kit bolted on fine with 0 problems
