Default Foreman 450 valve adjustment

Hello all, I just joined and this is my first post. I need to do the valves on the 04 but I'm a little rusty on remembering how, it's been awile since my last valve adjustment. I remember small details but not enough. I could buy a repair manual but don't really need it otherwise so thats why I'm checking with you guys. My last info I got from HighLifter from a guy on there who had his own web-site with instructions, but I forgot who he is and what his site is to find it again. For some reason I can't get on HighLifter so I did some looking around and found this site. Any info or links would be great if you have them. Thanks again.

remove the plastics and the gas tank. remove the valve cover. remove spark plug. remove timing hole cap on right side of engine, probably down by brake lever. Use recoil starter rope and turn over until you line up the "T" mark in the timing cap hole, It's just a bit after the "F" mark. With the "T" lined up in the hole, wiggle both rocker arms, if they are tight and dont move, turn over another 360 degrees and line the "T" up again, and check again. The rocker arms should be a little loose, now. If not, repeat until you get the "T" lined up and the rocker arms have a little play in them.

With the "T" still lined up, use a flat feeler guage and measure the clearance between the valve stem and the rocker arm. loosen the nut and turn the flat screw thing to tighten the tolerance. I think they should be .006 but i'm not sure. Repeat for the other valve, make sure the locknuts are tight, then reassemble. Done!

Thanks a million for the info. That all sounds real familiar now. If I remember right it takes longer to take off the plastics than it does to do the valve job.
