My raptor is stock but the gearing is changed.I have a 12 tooth front and a 42 tooth rear giving my a lot of bottom end but not much top end.I got smoked by a piped banshee in a drag by about 4 quad lenths.Oh wellyou cant have the best of both worlds thats the problem with gearing.

 

WHICH ONE IS FASTER IN A DRAG RACE BUY HOW MUCH. WHAT ARE THE TOP END SPEEDS OF THEM.

You would get more replys than you cared for if you posted this in the Yamaha forum.

In the sand I think the Banshee would have the edge. However, the Raptor is the king everywhere else.

 

I raced a stock Raptor with my moded Banshee, He got the hole-shot(expected) and was beating me until 4th gear, where I pulled away... I was pretty impressed to say the least.

No one in the Honda forum has either of them. Go over there and ask them, they'll know.

 

I have a 400ex and a banshee, bought 400 for track and banshee for destroying any others in drag races...i've allways believed that as far as brutal power is concerned, the 2 stroke is the way to go.
