Warrior,
You're right - It is a work of art! I got mine on Wednesday. I actually got the 450ER with the red frame and black plastic. I'm a little disappointed that the HRC kit won't be available until October 13th. Well, I guess that will give me time to break it in, and get used to the stock power.
I'll be able to give an honest, accurate report of how the kit works.
I have already drilled out the factory 'lawyerese' stickers. I'm considering replacing them with CarbonCovers pieces. Anyone used them before? Or maybe a different brand? If so, what about the quality, fit, etc.
I'm used to riding an '85 ATC250R that was definitely not stock. What kind of performance can I expect in comparison? I already know that I will have to get used to the carburetor that uses an accelerator pump.
I've also heard that the BUB exhaust system claims a double-digit gain in horsepower. Can anyone confirm this? My '85 R would top out at just under 80 mph. For what I'm paying for the new 450, I'll be disappointed if I can't beat it.
Any ideas/tips/tricks?
Thanks for the help!

I've got the 06 450R and love it!. I didnt install the HRC kit but I did open it up by replacing the stock air filter with a prodesign intake with a K&N filter and cut a hole in the lid to match the 05 HRC lid. I then replaced the nonadjustable stock needle with a CRF450 needle on the 3rd clip. The stock pilot is just about right.I replaced the stock 120 main with a 170. Last I added a DMC slipon exhaust and it sounds great. These little changes really makes a big differance without having to open up the engine. I cant imange what a HRC kit would do. I got more power than I know what to do with! Take my advice and take it easy on it at first cause it will take hold and flip you right on your A$$!! Keep your oil and filter change often and you should have no problems. You might have to turn up your idle screw a little also. Have fun!!

HRC kits are the same as the '06 450r and people have them in stock, my dealer had one a couple days ago and probably still does if you can't find.
BUB exhaust will not give you double digit power period.

Dunefools right! Go tell your dealer it's the same Hrc kit that the 06 takes. There were no changes to the engine from 06 to 07 just graphics and painted frame.
