Hows the quad fit in the Tacoma. I have an Ext Cab and always tow a trailer, was thinking I may try and put my Rancher in the back. I have a over the Rail box so I think it may fit with the tailgate done, any idea? Also was thinking of putting a ramp sustem in the bed that would angle the quad up at a 45 degree angle...Any ideas?

Code54, my 400 fits very snuggly in the back of my extended cab Tacoma. The fronts wheels do have to ride over the wheel wells while loading. There are about 6 inches between the tailgate and the rear tire when the 400Ex is pushed to the front (I don't have a toolbox). If your Rancher is a couple inches narrower than the 400EX, it should fit between your Tacoma's wheel wells.

I use an extended cab Tacoma 4x4 to haul my Rancher. Code54- the Rancher fits with the tailgate down, just barely. I fits between the wheel wells, just barely. I want a toolbox for my truck but I don't think the Rancher would fit then, even with the tailgate down.

Greetings,
1999 Durango, 360 Magnum, dark green with tan leather inside, three rows of seats (keep those kids spread out), Cabelas soft-pak roof top carrier, and a fridge in the back (next year, a wine cellar).
Towing a 6X12 landscape trailer.
About the trailer -- not sure I like those expanded metal ramps that much. Very handy for loading all sorts of stuff but I just don't like pulling them down the Interstate. Otherwise, heavy and stable even on a black snake road.
Also, I find the 6 foot width just about all I would want following me. I don't know how you guys run those 8 foot wide trailers down the road. Is it that my wheels sit outside the 6 foot bed, but your wheels sit inside an 8 foot bed? 8 feet just seems too wide given my experience with 6.
