I'd say look at the 300ex, and 400ex you will out grow the 250's power in no time at all. Even though you don't have sport quad experience the utility riding is good enough to purchase a bigger cc quad. At least you have some seat time. If you were a new rider the 250ex may have been a good place to start but again not for long.

Good Luck.

SB.

The 250 would work out OK for you, but you would probably be better off with a 300EX or something else with sportier suspension and such.

The new 250ex is an excellent quad. You can either shift with teh clutch or do semi auto. The suspension is pretty good and the size of the quad is almost the same as the 300. I dont think you would go wrong with the 250,300,or 400.

Get a 250ex and you"l be happy. Vent the air box up the main jet and add a slip on exhaust and blow by that 2 stroke blaster. It will last a lot longer than a blaster and when your ready to sell it your going to get a lot more out of it than a blaster!

I think you should get a 300ex. You would outgrow the 250 fast.

kmak dont go with the 250ex ur much to big for it and the power will not keep u satisfied for more than a month i started off rideing utility ATVs as well i started off with a bigbear 400 then got a grizzly 600 and got sick of the bulky handeling and wanted to get into raceing and decided on buying my first sport quad witch was a 300ex i grew out of the stock 300s power very quick but ounce i through a uni filter on an hmf slip on and some bigger jets it woke it up a little but i think i only owned my 300ex for about 7 months befor i sold it and got my 400ex witch i owne now and am very happy with and its soon to be a 426 but in my opinion start off on 300ex it has much more power then the 250 and better handeling just get smaller tires in the rear rejet and put an hmf slip on and new filter and youl be running blasters all day long at least i know i was lol
