I have a spare 350X engine and was wondering if it would be hard to swap this engine into a spare 83 250R frame I have? Would it require a lot of mounting brackets? Where would I mount the oil cooler that would be out of the way? I would appreciate any help.
Thanks.

Naturally it would be easier to mount it in an 85/86 ATC250R but you can mount any motor into any frame if you have the time, money, and know-how. Personally, I would not mess with it.

I would be very interested in the 350x motor. If you would ever sell it
I think i would stick with a 250r motor in your case. As far as ive heard it is a very nice motor.

I would agree with you about keeping the 250R motor or mounting it in an 85-86 frame, but this is what I have the 250R motor is rusted up and the frame could use a little work too. The engines are brand new. I have only ridden 250R's not a 350X and would think it would be a fun woods machine. Thanks for the input
