I'm thinking about getting another ute quad. I really like the Honda camo color scheme, but I ride through alot of blackberry bushes and I dont want it to get snagged and peeled if it IS a laminate finish. I've seen a few in person and it almost looks like the color is molded into the plastics. Can anyoone confirm or deny if Honda uses a laminate (STICKER) finish on their camo quads, or if it is molded into the plastic? Anyone who owns one with experience? Thanks.

 

I have an 07 Camo rubi that I bought just for that reason. I do not like scratches. I have had it for about three months now, and not a scratch on it. The camo color is molded into the plastic.

 

Unless they just changed it this year the Honda camo is a laminate. The 06s had a bad problem with peeling. Some dealers would replace it under warranty and some wouldn't. Now this was on the 06 Rincons. But I can't see why they would use something different on other models. I heard they were working on something else, but I can't confirm it.

 

It is not molded in unless they just developed and implemented the technology to do it. All the 06 Rincons were laminate and were peeling. There has been no mention of a new process.

 

Just picked up the new '07 Foreman today. The camo is definitely molded into the plastic. Look under the fenders and it comes through on the backside. It is 100% through and through. Replaced my '96 this bike is way heavier too.
