450R Wins Baja 1000......again!

The 450R is absolutely dominating desert racing. Says volumes about this fine machine!
Off-Road.com is reporting the Temecula Motorsports 7a quad first across the line, with no other quads anywhere close behind (including the Can-Am Renegade!):
"Danny Prather came in for the talent-packed Temecula Motorsports 7a team that also included Mike Cafro, Dana Creech, Marc Spaeth, and Levi Marana. The first quad across the line by quite a while and just feet before the first Trophy Truck of Andy McMillin, Danny said he was glad to get in when he did. "You never want them to pass you - it's not fun." "

crf450X won for dbikes? why not the crf450r? or was it only for enduro bikes, the ktm superenduro 950 could do good, was it even there?
i just thought of this-
what is honda made a trx450x, it would be like a 450er but w/ a bit les performance, but better than a 440ex, and good reliability/low maintainance, (as in only annual check ups, other than oil and coolant) it would rev much quicker than the 440ex cuz of shorter stroke,
i think it would sell, cuz there are a lot of people who want a 450r but are scared of having to do a lot of maintainance and rebuild like 2 strokes every few years, how do you think it would do in the baja1000?
doesnt the trx450r use a crf450x engine, but isnt that a crf450r engine? whats the diff? cams?

Not bad for an unreliable, ticking time bomb, right Recon? Lol.

crazy-Not quite sure what you said there???? The CRF450X (enduro dirt bike) and the 06/07 TRX450R quad have virtually identical engines, except for gearing. So, this engine takes first place in both the dirt bike and quad categories!
The CRF450R motocross dirt bike, while it has a similar engine, does not have a frame that is well suited to cross country.
Doesn't everybody run GPS trackers??? So who would be dumb enough to cut the course????
TIC-It does have one of those outdated solid axles. And, a 250 pound weight advantage over the Renegade!
