I have a 400ex. It is bored out 40 over. I have holeshot tires(22 inchers). My sprockets are; the back is still stock and the front is one tooth bigger. (there are many many other accecories)

Is this set up, good or bad. I have heard that haveing 22 inchers and a bigger sprocket takes away alot of power. is this true? It seems to me that it is a little harder to do wheelies now that i have 22's on. If this does take power away, what should i do? put my stock sprocket back on?
Thanx

Go to a 14 tooth spocket up front and try that.

radchad,
Running a bigger or smaller tire doesn't reduce power, it merely puts in in another part of the band. The "power" is still there in your case except it's at the high end of the band due to running taller gearing with the larger c/s sprocket. It just depends on what your priorities are. If you main concern is just doing wheelies just use the 14 or even a 13 c/s sprocket and expect to lose some top end performance. The alternative to all this is to run 20" tires when you replace your present ones with your current gearing. You'd lose 1" inch of ground clearance, however.

Putting a larger rear tire on effectively gears the machine up... (like when you added the 16 tooth countershaft sprocket)... try running your stock 15 tooth sprocket, and it should bring you back close to where you where before you went with the larger tire...
