Kick Start Conversion For 06 450ER

Default Kick Start Conversion For 06 450ER

I need to find a kick start conversion for a 06 450er. I cant stand the the push button start. I got the motor piped, jetted, and k-n. The starterr just dont want to start it when it is warm and on any kind of incline. Any have anything let me know thanks. Chris

Seems like I remember that the cases are different for the two different starters, so a conversion isn't possible (?????).

first of all how long has it been since your last valve adjustment?,are you hitting the gas while starting[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]?,I usually prime it a few times and choke it when its cold.

You cannot convert an electric start model to a kickstart and vise versa. Honda offers two different machines for a reason. I'm not sure on the exact differences between the two engines but have been told and also read that conversion is not possible.
