I raced my 400EX with a pipe, air cleaner and paddles against my stock Banshee and lost every time and it wasn't even close.
Perhaps the other guy didn't know you were racing?

exactly...once u start gettin into mods the 2 stroke would respond way better and cheaper also then the 4 would
