I need more power sooooo looks like I should get a 330 kit..... but from who??? TC? four stroke tech? powroll? and about how much should I expect to pay for: 330 sleeve and piston,gaskets,mid/topend cam,CDI mod, rocker arms hardwelded, and the boring and resleeving work. lets talk about pistons 11:1 or 12:1?? is there a big power difference?? don't I have to run race gas with a 12:1? if someone could help me out some I would appreciate it...thanks

330 kit consists of 80mm piston, larger sleeve, and piston rings. Retails for $295 from any 4-stroke engine builder. Plus you need a top-end gasket kit(A) from Honda($46), bore job and sleeve press($100-200 bucks depending on where you get it done).
Camshaft and valve springs, CDI work, Head porting, Hardened rocker arms and valve guides vary in price depending on where you get them. Expect too pay around 1K for all of the parts listed above(without labor).

I run a Wiseco 10.5-1 compression piston on premium gas in my TC330 engine. Works well.

11.0-1 is as high as you can go in the compression dept before you need too run race gas.
Call around, many 4-stroke engine builders have some great kits setup for the 300EX. TC Racing sells a kit for $400 bucks that includes: Wiseco piston(stock bore), race cam(with core charge), valve springs, and CDI mods. This kit will really give your EX a kick in the butt! I'm sure many other companies offer the same types or deals.
Good luck with whatever you choose. I love my 330 and wouldn't trade it for anything. I like having something different.

Yall seem to know your stuff. I'm looking into a a used 300ex, and the 330 kit. I just don't know which company to get it from. Which company would offer the best kit for the best price? The one thing i definitly want is to be able to out run a 400ex. Which kit will do that? I normally ride in wooded trails, open fields, and do some jumping. So i'll the best combination of low end torque, mid range, and top end. Please help me.

FST had an awesome 330ex ex in dirtwheels. They said it out ran the 400 almost every where on the track!

Today we where going to get a spark plug for the blaster and my dad asked how much a 330 kit cost.I was like for the 250r.He said no the 300.I was stoked and he said that he would think about it if I sold the blaster!I wouldn't mine doing that if I really did get a 330.I would run lower compression for pump gas.And have to get new front shocks.

Anyone know anyway to get 330 kit with pipe and some front shocks for 1500?

You should get that kit that was in dirtwheels! It looked pretty sick! You could drive around asking 400 exers if they wana drag.Let them get ahead of you and then bam blow by them and scare them sh!tleSS

Both Powroll and FST sell a sleeve with the 330 kit that requires the bottom end of the motor too be milled too allow the larger sleeve too be installed.
The TC Racing sleeve comes taper-bored so that no bottom end work is needed for the install. Just a thought.(I like saving money)

ok thanks alot guys....I'm gonna check around and see where I can get race gas and how much...soo it sounds like I should be able to do the piston/cam/CDI job for under $500. so anything extra gotta be done?.. I know the rockers have to be fixed.. and I guess you gotta have new valve springs and I have a barnett clutch that came with HD springs.. I'll call up FST and TC and see what I can get all this done for...thanks guys
