Default 2006 honda forman

I hope its just a stuck float but not sure. I was riding in creek my back end sunk and i made the mistake of cuttin engine so water came in i fliped it backwards to get all water out of pipe removed oil filler cap and used pull start to get water out but only thing wrong now is leaking gas from carb. drain hose. can anybody tell me whats going on

The float is stuck. I've had it happen to me. You might be able to get away with just tapping on the carb to unstick it. If not then you just got to open up the carb and clean it out.

i will prob. have to take it apart and clean it cause i tried tapping on it but did not fix problem. what about tacking off the fuel intake and spraying carb.cleaner or is that a bad idea. appreciate the advice.

Me, I would take the bottom off the carb and clean it that way. I'm really not sure if the spray would even get to it. Taking the bottom off the carb won't take you 30 minutes. While your working on the carb remove the 4 screws on the top and pull out the spring. Count off 11 coils and cut it. Replace the longer piece back in the carb being careful not to pinch the diaphram. Then replace the screws. This is a free little trick that will improve throttle response. It won't hurt anything and if you don't like the new off the line power then a new spring only costs about $8. This is the first thing I did to my Rincon.

did someone help you, open the carb drain and forget to close it? if not you are on the right track.

yeah we opened it and closed it a few times but still dripping out. i paid $800 for warranty but dont want my waranty to be voided if they see i went into deep water

if the intake was going under you did the right thing shutting it off. Fluids can be changed, hydraulic lock is not good. I'd take the carb off too.
