I put one in a tire with a tear in it, many years ago. Sold it to a friend, and I think they are still riding it with that same tube 10 years later.......

I think a tube would do alright in an old style balooney tire, but not so good in the more square ones like the Holeshots, etc.

Tubes are not reliable for trail riding . Once you puncture one there is no way to repair it on the trail. At least without a tube you can plug the crap out of the tire, use tire slime or even a patch. Tubes are good for around the farm or house. Thats about it.

2manytoys makes a good point about not being able to patch a tube out on the trail. This is one way in which quads are superior to dirt bikes, which have tubed tires!

I wouldn't ever put a tube in a quad tire.

Recon, you can add tire ***** to dirtbike tires and never have to worry about puncturing it.

Have you priced tire *****? As I recall, they are very expensive. You think the average rider is going to go for that?

All good points about tubes, i meant to type more information about my situation but i accidently pressed enter and i had to go to school... but i will tell u now.

my Atc got a small rot in the tire and it leaks pretty quickly, and i picked up a tube at princess auto for just 5$. I was wondering if tubes are very reliable and if they will puncture very easily. My atc tire was a tubeless tire but got a leak, so i was wondering if anyone knew if tire tubes could hold up against trail riding. Also keep in mind the tube is not top quality. Thanks.

I never said I would use them, I think they are outpriced as well and looks to be a pain to install.

Besides, the only time I ever get a flat on a dirtbike is if I pinch the tube putting it on. I don't think I've ever pinched a tube on the trail or track on a 2 whooler. Not to say it couldn't easily happen one day.
