Default 400ex frame

I went to look at a 400ex last night and I found on the right side of the frame kind of between the footpeg and the right fender, they had to have hit something pretty solid. The frame was basically smushed together and the metal was almost flat for like 3-4 inches long. It was also right by a part of the frame that went up and the joint seemed to be a little rusty, everything else on the wheeler was great, but this is probably a machine I should shy away from correct?

I'm kinda not sure exactly what part you are talking about, but if the frame looks damaged, prolly should stay away from it.

Unless of course it looks repairable and you can get it for almost nothin.
