Ive looked all over these fourms to answer this question and the averge replie to this is between 68 and 75. I find this hard to belive beacuse I have got mine up to 77 befor i had to slow down beacuse I ran out of straight away..

 

Mine goes faster than I ever care to go, even in the open desert!

 

Soon I'm going to strap on my GPS and see just how fast it will go. I dont think i'v had it toped out yet.

 

they are almost as fast as my 250rrrrr

 

stock for stock 450rs will def kill 250rs

top speed does not matter it matters who can get there faster.

 

So True man. I bet that 250r will get to the top speed before the 450r.

 

Im talking stock here...a 250R is going to look pretty pathetic lined up next to a
450R when a 450R will be ahead the whole race not to mention pull away at about
65 when the 250R tops out

 

uh, 250Rs go a little faster than 65...most have been clocked at 70+ (historical fact since 1986). if a 400ex can do 65-68, the R is lighter- but with about the same HP actualy making it to the ground...

stock, a 250R will lose in a race to a 450R. Modded, its closer. my 250 is slightly modded and it will hang with and nearly beat a stock raptor (660). dont underestimate a 250R; wonderful handling bike and good power to weight ratio, and simple bolt on mods make a difference.

according to an issue of dirtwheels a awhile back, they said they clocked (its not in the stats of the test) the 450R at 78.49, just a little ahead of the YFZ...of course, that was them and it could be BS b/c i dont think its going that fast pegged out (fast as a quadzilla- no way), stock...dont get me wrong, they rip but ive never seen a 450R beat a YFZ- stock or modded.

 

thw trx450r will do 86 on the strip
