diff problems

Default diff problems

my 2002 foreman es front diff is trying to seize up the same way my 2000 rancher did but i stopped before it blew a hole in the right side of the cover like the rancher,what is going on??

Rarely if ever do we see posts in here about Honda diff problems. If this is happened to you twice now, might I suggest that it is something you are doing and not some kind of genetic defect in the design. You getting some water in there??? Keeping the oil changed????

Default diff problems

Unless water or dirt got in the breather, or the oil level got too low, there are no known issues with the front diff.

oil change every 50 hours always engine and diffs always it is full all are full ,very small amount of water always leaks a little aint afraid of deep holes holla back!!!

The bolts that hold the ring gear on inside are backing out and will break your front diff. seen a few back in those years.

i was told that at the dealer in 2000 but i wanted to know 4 sure because i was in shape to trade then so i left with the 450 but the price was about 500 bucks when the rancher was fixed but that was not its 1 problem so i just came home with a new 1

sorry, did you by extended warrenty? I know it's a honda and this stuff shouldn't happen. I bleed red, die hard honda guy, but this does happpen. Haven't seen it in a few years though

Very nice reconranger, jump out there and blame the owner before you have the facts. I have heard of this problem as our atv club presidents rubicon did the same thing.
