Kill switch? (Sorry; been there, done that myself.)
Yeah, hook 'er up to a running automobile's battery--make sure you've plenty of clean, dry fuel passing through your carburetor; use some starting fluid (ether) from an aerosol can.
If you've cleaned the spark plug (squirt some starting fluid down the hole), and it won't start after this, you've got a problem.
If you've got good fuel, hot spark (and good plug) at the right time, and compression; oughta start!
You can drain the carb and tank and add good gas if there's any doubt about the fuel; at least check for spark; and feel the compression. Sometimes, a can of starting fluid works wonders.

did ya check ur gas?? i did the same thing and drained my batery , and it was a simple mistake of beingout of gas, put it on reserve and try it again!@

okay guys,yes the kil switch is in the run position, yes it has gas in it filled it before trying to start it. tonite i'm going the heater route and maybe try the starting fluid if that doesn't work i guess i'll have to wait for the spring thaw.
