http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

Some good basic oil info: http://www.thumperfaq.com/oil.htm

The idea of doing a very early oil and oil filter change is to get any metal shavings out of the engine right away that are left over from machining and newly meshing gears. Hondas do come very clean from the factory, but better to play it safe!

During break-in, you want to use a petroleum oil like Honda GN4 or Maxima Premium. I usually change mine for the first time at 1 hour, then again at 5 and 10 hours. After 10 hours, I consider it broken in and switch to Maxima Extra an ester synthetic oil (http://www.maximausa.com/technical/l...beNews2002.pdf).

Then do your first valve adjustment at 20 hours.
