Default 2007 rubicon

hi guys: got my self a red ruby back in jan. i have about 1000 km on it. ready for its 2nd oil change. Any special thing i should check on. I have always been the firm believer...if it aint broke don't fix it. When it warms up here in PEI canada i will trake the manual out and go over a few things. I noticed they mention adjusting the valves @ 1000 km. Is this necessary....no noise yet from them. One other thing is i bought a honda for its years of realibility. How many of you guys recommend buying a warranty . Mine runs out in july 2007 @ 6 months and i should have at least 1500 km on it by then. Do the rubicons have many problems that come up. And one more important question. Last week i decided to wash the bike. i sprayed water and used a brush to clean around the handle bars. It was cold out and formed ice on the bike. Yesterday i took the bike for a drive and was in ESP mode. I was able to shift up all 5 gears....but i tried many times to shift down but it would not go out of 5th gear. when i stopped and tried to take off the bike stalled b/c it remained in 5th gear. I had no prob driving in D1 OR D2. Do you think this problem may go away after the temps get warmer ....thanks barry

I am having a problem with my 2007 Rancher shifting. Do not hold the brake while you shift down to see if you have the same problem I do.
