Quad has been ridden 6 or 7 times. Always started great now it will not. Doesnt seem to be firing, my question is how do you test to see if its firing? If you put test light in plugwire hole light doesnt light up. also have 300 ex utility 2000 model it runs perfectly but light doesnt light in the plug wire hole either, but it starts up. anyway can anybody help about the 450, thanks shane

you probably need to adjust your valves

to see if it is firing you have to unscrew the spark plug and then leave it hooked to the wire. you put it on metal and turn it over and see if you see a spark.

thanks for the info from both replys, but do you think the valves really need to be adjusted this early. like i said its been road maybe 6 times, only for few minutes at a time never longer than 30 to 45 minutes every ride. put it this way not a full tank has been run through it yet.
