426 cylinder bore question

Default 426 cylinder bore question

Stock bore on a 400ex cylinder is 85mm, the 426 psiton im putting in it is 88mm .. so whenI take the cylinder to the machine shop how much does it need to be bored?

is it just me or what but I dont think an 88mm piston will fit through a 88mm cylinder?

Default 426 cylinder bore question

Take your piston with you when you take your cylinder in. They will spec the piston and bore your cylinder to the appropriate size. Most shops WILL NOT bore a cylinder without the piston in hand!
