No the valves will get out of wack after a while of riding and you will have signs of hard starting and they should be check and most likely shimmed at around 10-15 tanks of gas on the 450r...Your jetting is off, a tube isn't connected correctly, you are running out of gas, or your float is stuck.

 

well i went and bought a dynojet kit for it and it works flawlessly its so much faster now and the response is instant
