Hey everybody...was wondering if anybody knows if a 2007 honda recon has oil filter...my dealer sold me one but I can't find it anywhere on my atv...whats up...Help please!!!

The Recon does not have an oil filter as such. It has a screen and very effective centrifugal filter that needs to be serviced every 100 hours or so. Probably best done by the dealer, but please not by the one that sold you that filter!

 

reconranger is correct!!! No serviceable, external oil filter, only internal for the recon.


I hope someone was out to lunch when you were at the parts counter because this person that sold you this part is on the low end of the learning curve for a Honda dealership or what were they looking at, maybe the old late 80's early 90's 250trx. I would like to know the part number on the package the dealer sold you. Its been awhile since I was at the dealer but the last time I was there for a filter for my trx3004x4, the young man had to look up the number just to make sure[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] I would have thought this would be a common filter or is my 300 becoming that out dated[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

All the quads I have done oil changes on (including the old 300), have a common filter.....except for the 450R.
