I was wondering if the steering stem on the 450's are interchangable. i have an 06, and can get a 05 stem for 80 bucks new, but when i look at the microfish the part numbers a different, does anyone know if this will work?

 

Why would you want to put a 05 on your 06. I thought my stock stem was pretty ugly, so I got a chrome +'1 steering stem from houser racing. Looks a whole lot better than it did with the stock one. Just my 2 cents tho. Red

 

i want to because the 05's are cheaper than the 06's. and i had one guy that would give me one if i paid for shipping, so i was wondering.

 

I think the 06 models are a little bit longer. I am not sure if they swap or not. Call an aftermarket stem builder, they would know.
