I have a restored 84 Honda Trx200 4 wheeler. I need to change the oil. What type of oil should I use and where is the drain screw?

Read this: http://www.thumperfaq.com/oil.htm

If you pick a motorcycle oil that is API SG/JASO MA, you can't go far wrong. Look for that on the bottle!

For that machine, maybe Maxima Premium, or Honda GN4 if you can't find anything else.....10W40.

RedRubi has this thing where he likes cheapie 3 rd rate oil. Don't buy into his BS...you will have to pay the price in the end either way!

You have a nice old classic rebuilt machine, so treat it right.

Default Which Oil?

Listen to RangerRecon!!!! The man knows his oil facts. Why put some cheap oil that will break down soon and let your engine wear. There was a program on the History channel the other day and after you see it you will never use anything but Synthetic oil. They put a camera inside an engine at below 0 temp. Regular oil took 25 minutes to start flowing to the head, cam, and vavles due to it's paraffin base. Not so with Synthetic oil. Why do some people spend $6000 on a quad and worrie about spending $8 a quart for oil that will protect their investment?
