I personally watched a completely stock 200cc Blaster pass a 650 Rincon. No way a 650 Rincon will do much over 50mph. It seems all of the large cc utility atv's are way off in speedo calibration. Can't comment on the 680's real world speed though.</end quote></div>

LOL...................and the 200cc blaster was strapped to the back of Mustang GT. If the Rincon can't do more than slightly over 50, something is wrong with it. LOL

 

700 your buddy may have had a gear reduction kit in it. Most people who run super size tires end up getting one. Its basically the same as changing gear ratios. As far as a Rincon can't go over 50? I could drag a Blaster faster than 50mph. As far as power goes, Its adaquate. Its not a rocket ship by no means. But yes it will spin the tires at will. But huge tires will hurt the power. Just like it does on every other quad out there.

 

Either that blaster was on steroids, Rincon was severely hurting or you were smoking somethin really good because they do over 60mph stock and with my mods it will do close to 70. I will race any stock blaster anyday. If a stock rincon only did 50mph Honda would not sell any period. It would be the laughing stock of big bore quads.. You may be mistaken for a recon not rincon.


700vtwin, Like rinman said the only thing available for the rincon tranny is the gear reduction. No shift kits because it does not have a valve body like a car. It has 2 solinoids, a torque converter and 3 gears. The ecu controls the transmissin when to shift but you cant change it for more power. You can get an aftermarket cdi that changes the timing curve and shift points. This really wakes the rincon up. I would think if he was running 29.5 outlaws he has the gear reduction.

 

sorry bout the 71.. i was tying to fas its 61. my fiance' gets it up to 65 and like others say it screams for the 4th gear. only thing that i wish it had was a manual foot clutch not the thumb esp.

Yes you are probably correct. The gear reduction kit "sounds" more like what this guy said he did. I truly don't know how the rinny tranny works other than it works good.
