Ok so my mom and step mom just got me a brandy new xr650l for graduating high school...wanted the cbr60rr but damed sales man said it was too fast lol..but i was just wondering if there was a set up to run it on the highway for about 75miles? and what is its top speed? any performance parts out for it? any info would be great thanks

Adding a pipe and rejetting is the most bang for the buck for 650L. But the 650L will never be a good street bike. If this is really what you want then sell it quick and get something like a 500 Ninja or GS500 Suzi. These are two of the very best street bikes to get started in the street. They are both fast enough to get your kicks but easier to survive on.

 

I figured it wasnt a great streetbike but it is gonna do for now after i have had it a while ill get a katana 750 or something...who makes a pipe for it?
