What is the top speed of this machine. Seems very comfortable to ride. I have the camo color. Is there any promlems with that. How amout the hondamatic tranny also. Seem so smooth compared to the belt system.

I have a 05 Honda Rubicon and I love it. I am pretty sure they have not changed since 2005, except color. I think it is comfortable, but it is still pretty far away from an IRS quad, but then again the Rubi powersides effortlessly and is very stable and is easy to control, which IRS quads are not as good. I love the tranny and the engine breaking is so awesome that even on difficult trail rides, I rarely touch my breaks, unless I want to flash the tail lights. The fastest I have got mine up to was 58 mph. I have drag raced my brother's King Quad 700 and my dad's Polaris Sportsman 600, and my Rubi beat the polaris in acceleration, but the King Quad was only a few quad lengths away until we hit about 50 then, the polaris and King Quad start to pull away. But for a 500 I think it has good performance. I have just under 2000 miles on it and just over 100 hours, and have had no major problems. It is indestructable in my opinion, and no problems with the tranny or anything else. The only thing that might happen, is that my rubi devoloped a chirp noise in the exaust, so I just bought an aftermarket exaust tip and now, it runs perfectly. I just love this ATV, the tranny is awesome and i always rub it in to my brother and dads CVTs. You will be happy with it. I think Honda should make a Rubicon 800 with IRS, that would be awesome. Thats the only ATV i would most likely replace my rubi 500 with. Its awesome, you should have fun with it.

I too just bought an 07 rubicon camo and lovin it! This is the nicest machine I've been on. I traded in my 97 forman, and that machine brought me places I probably shouldn't have been! I hope this Honda treats me the same. I really like the way it rides, power and looks. I put on some 26" outlaw mst's. I only have 10 miles on it, I haven't had a chance to really put it to the test. I'll keep you guys posted!

I bought an 07 Rubicon and it is the best machine I have even ridden. I have around 1000 miles on it with 0 problems. Top speed so far.....59. Power slides effortlessley, pulls my big trailer with ease, smooth and quiet, and the engine doesn't hammer like my Rincon did. You bought the best....enjoy.

I just bought an 07 Rubicon last week. Great torque and power! I miss my IRS ride but not the problems that came with it!.

I went riding finally. I had the rubicon in D2. We were in some hilly terrain and the trails were slick. I felt like i did not have enough power in D2auto mode. I kept going back to Esp Mode.About half way through the trip i decided to switch to D1 and check it out. What a difference in auto mode. If you just read the owners manuel like i did not,you would find out the difference between D1 and D2. If you are plowing snow or hauling something go for D2 otherwise leave it in D1 or Esp. I love the rubicon. I am 100% satisfied with honda so far.
