sprocket change
#1
I want to give my bike more bottom end. So I would like to know if it is a good choice for me to change the front sprocket smaller by 2 teeth and if it will make a difference, and if it does will I notice it??

I went 1 tooth smaller in front on my 400EX, and even with tall 22" Holeshot XCT tires, every time I punched the throtle the quad would stand straight up....it was way to much! Great for play riding, but if I was out doing serious cross country work, I would get myself in trouble because it would wheelie at all the wrong times.
A change of 1 tooth in front = 3 teeth in back, so my compromise was to go one tooth larger in back and go back to shorter 20" Holeshot XC tires...and now it's just right!
On my 450R, I am 1 tooth smaller on the front sprocket, and it is a big improvement. Not wheelie happy or anything. Checks out sooner on the top end however.
My point is that it depends on the quad and personal preference/riding style. Front sprockets are cheap (compared to rear). I say try a 1 tooth change in front to start with and see what that does.

I agree, just try it with one tooth on the front.
I found one on ebay for 19 bucks. Of course, the next day the same seller had dropped the price by 5 dollars.
