If it is a late 80's model it will be the TRX200SX. It was a nice little peppy quad with one serious problem: it will flip on you if you try to climb anything like a steep hill. They were very short wheelbase and that combined with a 2nd gear that was too tall meant when you kicked it into first it tried to climb the sky. I have heard that a longer swingarm really helped (a decent welder could do it). If you get it really cheap, it would be a decent entry level atv.

DEPALMA- What years are they??.

I have the '87 model, the only problems with mine are the rear end and the brakes, like the chain...always keep it tight or you'll run into trouble fast. The brakes are the worst but if you want to keep the brakes..keep them clean and flush the brake fluid out every couple of months.

Otherwise it's a great ATV.

I paid $400 for mine back in 1992 and no problems yet... mine doesnt seem to want to roll any more than my friends 99' kodiak on steep ground. he flipped his and I never even got the SX on 2 wheels

i've only flipped mine once on a hillclimb because i hit a rock and the fromt end just came up without me even noticing it. Its pretty easy to wheelie. The only problem i find with it is there is no mods or hop-ups for it

Mine never tiped and i went up some crazy stuff going up after a 4x4 wolverine. Its not that heavy so if you just lean forward it will be ok. The problems that i had are the chain and the rear axle bolts stripping out. good luck

Yup, everyone else pretty much summed up the 200sx, I have a 86 model, The only problems I have ever had with it is the brakes and the chain is real aggervating, but that is the case with almost all chain driven quads. I love my lil' 200sx My friend has a 230 quadsport and mine is faster than his, will climb better, and looks a whole lot better, especially with Mud tires. Personally I think the 200sx is a very cool quad. I would not sell mine for almost anything.
