i herd people have put 400ex A-arms on there 300ex, i was wondering if they fit on the 300 with out haveing to modifiy them all you have to do is bolt them on ,right. and if any of you have done it do you like them

first you do NOT have to get the uppershockmt kit. you do have to have aftermarket shockes for the arms to work. they will work just not very well they will be very very stiff. However, if all you are looking for is more width it will work but I would get the kit if your budget allows.

you have to get the weld in kit if you want to use 400ex shocks. Whats the point of doing 400ex a-arms if you aren't gonna use the shocks!
Added travel and better shocks.
I will get pictures of the entire process when i'm done and i will post them on a site. And then i'll put it here.
you can e-mail me at aaronllmm@Home.com if you have any other questions

I am running 250R a-arms(pretty similar to 400EX) on my 250X with custom works shocks to fit the stock X mounts with added travel!
i have some friends with X's that used the same arms with 250R shocks and made a braket that bolts to the stock X location and extends up for the longer shocks. You do not have to weld.
I really like the Works shocks on the front with the added travel... I talked to Sandy at Works and he hooked me up!
