1991 TRX350 Fuel pump issues

Default 1991 TRX350 Fuel pump issues

as soon as i try to start (electric or kick) my fuel pump starts vibrating very loudly for about 8-10 seconds. won't turn over or anything and it dosn't seem to get any fuel to the carb? any ideas??

Default 1991 TRX350 Fuel pump issues

The fuel pump has a relay and when you energize the system (example: by pushing the starter button) the fuel pump will pump until the float bowl is full and the fuel system has pressure .. If yours isn't getting fuel then have you checked the filter it is between the frame rails just above the fuel shutoff valve ..

my email is tomstorozuk@hotmail.com. thanks for the pdf. i have the service manual for the 86-89 and all parts are the same. i'm gonna check the fuel pump tonight. why would the fuel pump audibly vibrate like that? is it because the bowl is full? have you heard that sound before? this thing has been plagued with electrical problems since day 1, so i naturally assumed it was more electrical sh*t.
