I have 500 hundred miles on my Rancher and it has been well taking care of.
But today after riding I ckecked out my air box. To my supize it had 1" of oil in it.Its coming from the crank case.Because I found that was low.
Any body know whats going on? Please help.

Thank You

I know this is not the oil I put on the filter. There is way to much for that.Plus I can smell gas in it.

Im I the only one with this problem?
I talk to my dealer today. He said I must have had the front end way up in the air,and the oil came from my crank case though the hose that goes to the air box.But i havent had the front end up.He told me to bring it in and he would look at it.If anybody knows how to solve this problem please let me know.I dont want to have to pay him if i can fix this myself. thanks

Have you recently rolled it or set it on its side. I set my Rancher on its right side on a trail and the airbox filled up with oil due to the crankcase breather.

My Rancher does the same thing. It seems that when you change the oil, and refill the crank case mounted oil tank with the recomended amount of oil, it is slightly over full. I've changed my oil 4-5 times, and every time it will fill the clear tube in the air box with oil at least twice. After that it seems to stop. BTW the oil is coming up through the crank case breather.
