Default Electrical Problem

I am getting very confused with this Atv problem. It just will not fire. I dont even know where to go from here.

I have changed the spark plug, the battery is full charged, all my lights work,(headlights and indicator lights)so i know it is not that. So times it will start and messing with it for a while. I have decided it may be the wiring that has come loose. ANY IDEAS? DOES ANYONE HAVE A COPY OF THE ELECTRICAL DIAGRAM FOR THIS MODEL?

Thanks in Advance for any help you can give.

Tina

It is a 1994 Honda Fourtrax 300 4x2, and yes that is what is confusing me. The 4 wheeler runs great once we get it to crank.

Thanks again

I recall some wheelers have issues with the kill switch. I don't think it was a utility but, it would be something to check.

Also, does it try to start and not fire up or do you mean it will not even turn over when you hit the button?

No,. it will turn over and over and over, it just will not start. It will finally start after a while. I tried the kill switch, but i guess i am going to have to follw the wires.

Thanks

I think thats about your only option if you know its getting gas. I'd also do a compression check.

There were some of those that had a CDI problem, if you watch the spark plug while cranking, it will spark once then not spark anymore.
You can either replace the CDI or there is a trick to start this machine.
The trick is, you have to double stroke the starter button. What I mean is this, once you press the starter button, while the engine is cranking, let off the button then repress it quickly before the engine stops turning over, and it will start every time. When pressing the start button normal it is kinda "click" but instead double stroke it "click click".
Let us know.
