Will someone please help me. I just purchased a used 2000 Rancher ES. An 86 year old man had it. He has carried it to the dealer several times for the shifting problem. He has been using the manual shifter to get it to neutral to start and sometimes again to get it into gear. Sometimes when he put it in gear it would go on and shift. Sometimes it would stay in the same gear and not shift. I bought it thinking I could get it fixed. I called a few dealers. Some say it may need the cluches adjusted etc.. After reading on this forum it seems to me that it is a common problem maybe with the electrical and knowing how to use it. Please help. Thank You
