I have an 87 250r with a Paul Turner pipe and Fat-Boy silencer. I noticed lately that Paul Turner now makes a "quiet" version of this silencer.

Does anyone have one of these or know how much quieter they actually are than a "regular" Fat Boy silencer? The pipe makes great power compared to stock but it is the loudest, most obnoxious sounding thing I have ever heard.

Anybody?

I have the quiet version of the Fatboy and its fairly quiet and has a really good sound. Its got a turn down on the cap and the cap is triple chrome plated. My bike has awsome low end power and its a stock motor with the exception of a cr base gasket and a pyramid reed valve

Hey retro,

Can you just buy the quiet end cap and not a whole extra silencer? If so, where did you get yours?

Ideally I would like to have both like you.

Do you notice a big difference in sound with the quiet tip on there?

Thanks,

I bought the parts used. I would contact Duncan Racing, they sell Paul Turner pipes and silencers. I would guess that you could get it without buying the whole silencer.
Yes the end cap makes it quieter.
