Got a follow up call a bit earlier this mornig on whether I was attending the show or not.

13 new models in 5 market segments is the bait and official claim.

FIVE segments?? Maybe a new side-by-side afterall?

No,...no ground breaking news on WHAT will be there, but I couldnt help but pass up the only official thing that has been released so far.....a number of new units.

just go to the section that you want to post a new topic in and there should be a place at the top where the "my forums and gallery and all that stuff is", and there should be a "new topic" button. there also should be one at the top of this page.

 

Here's what I posted over at RinconRiders 10 days ago.

"You heard it here first. Honda will be unveiling two brand new models at this year's dealer show. I have no idea what those models will be, but Honda sales reps are hoping one of them will be the long awaited Honda RUV. If the RUV is not released this year, it will be released next year. Make no mistake, a Honda RUV has been in the works for many years.

Just to demonstrate how serious I am, a CRF230L dual sport motorcycle will be introduced at the dealer show as well. Look for it."

The two brand new models I speak of are in the ATV/RUV market, while the CRF230L is obviously in the motorcycle market. If Honda is in fact releasing 13 new models, I can see some new sport ATV's being introduced as well as quite a few motorcycles. Don't forget, the dealer show is not only for ATV's, but for motorcycles as well.

I just read a reply on another forum from a guy that builds the display stands for the type of show that Honda is having in a few days. He said that he was given a quick look at a picture of an RUV. He thought it kinda looked like a Ranger (this was on Polaris Ranger Club forum).

 

So the new models will be anounced on the 6th??? That means midnight on the 5th (tomorrow), right???? I think they are up on the HRC site even earlier???

A small dual sport motorcycle is long overdue! I use to have a CRF230 and it was a great fun little bike. I can see myself getting one for local commuting, and I have a vast area in my local hills where I can ride, but the trouble is I have to ride 4 blocks on pavement to get there (and back) and risk a ticket. With a street legal dual sport, I would be home free and ride every day if I wanted to.

I think we will see a power steering option on all the Ranchers. Maybe EFI on the 400EX, and who knows what for the Recon???
